Jill de Burca is a graduate of NCAD, where she specialised in embroidery. This led her to work as an embroidery designer for international labels including Erdem, Stella McCartney & Mary Katrantzou.
Jill moved back to her native Dublin in 2014 to launch her own label. She won “Irish Designer of the year 2015” at the Irish Innovation Awards in Galway and was chosen by Brown Thomas, Dublin to feature in their ‘Create 2015’ project to wide acclaim.
Jill De Burca’s collection is crafted by hand using intricate embroidery stitched with an antique Irish Singer Embroidery machine. Digital silk printing and interesting fabric combinations are key elements throughout the collections. Despite the meticulous details, the clothes are always very wearable with a beautiful sports lux edge.
