NIAO is a knitwear label founded in Northern Ireland. We work in small sustainable batches with natural fibres, trusted makers, and the belief that the best things are worth taking time over.

We begin with soft, pure fibres to create pieces that carry both distinctive design and the continuity of our heritage. We look to botanicals, movement and organic structure for guidance, shaping clothing that feels instinctive and artful.

The brand began with an heirloom Aran jumper belonging to our founder’s grandfather. A piece that held comfort and the kind of craftsmanship that lasts. Our pieces are made to be worn often, kept well and passed on.
