Póchette creates handcrafted, customisable handbags & accessories, designed in Ireland and handmade in Europe.

After years of working in the corporate world, Siobhán McCarthy realised she needed a more creative outlet. With a lifelong love of handbags, she spotted a gap in the market for designs that were both beautiful, functional and could be customised to fit various lifestyles and aesthetics.

A year of research and prototyping led to the launch of Póchette, a collection of handcrafted handbags and accessories made with care and intention.The collection adapts to its owner, offering effortless organisation and thoughtful craftsmanship from the inside out. Every detail has been considered, balancing form and function to create something truly timeless.

The collection features thoughtful signature styles. The Póca, inspired by the “pockets” women wore tied to their waists in the 17th century, offers a minimalist silhouette with graceful adaptability. The Danu, elevates customisation through interchangeable covers and straps.

The name Póchette blends the Irish póca (pocket) and the French pochette (pocket/little bag). Like the 17th-century pockets that inspired it, each piece is made to carry what matters – reimagined for today’s world of style and versatility.
