Sarah Murphy

Graduated from Griffith College Dublin in 2016 with a multi-award winning Graduate knitwear collection and the highest Fashion Design degree ever awarded by the college.
Following some design collaborations she launched her first full collection for AW 2017. This collection was featured as part of the Brown Thomas’ Create project in the same year.
The collection, titled “The craft”, was an exploration of traditional Irish knitwear and craftsmanship, pushing the boundaries of what is expected. The collection was inspired by the Fé in Irish mythology and demonstrated Sarah ability with heritage aran stitches, handknit or handloomed in innovative ways that form a very contemporary signature.
Sarah Murphy works from her studio in the Wicklow mountains.
