Shock of Grey

Sarah Carroll Kelly is the founder and designer of award winning Shock of Grey jewellery. Her work is playful, vibrant, innovative and meticulously crafted in striking bursts of color.

Having a background in both Fine Art Sculpture and Digital Design, making miniature wearable art pieces is a natural outlet for Sarah. With sustainability as a key focus, each piece is handcrafted in Dublin 8 using FSC certified wood, low emissions paint & 100% recycled boxes.

A seasoned exhibitor at international trade fairs, she won the International Buyers Choice Award at Showcase, Dublin in 2024 and was highly commended at the IDI awards in 2023. Her work is stocked in Ireland, UK, USA, Germany & Canada including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York and IMMA in Dublin. She has also featured at the CREATE project in Brown Thomas, Dublin.

Sarah also designs custom pieces for stage and other cultural presentations. Shock of Grey collections regularly receive coverage both in Ireland and internationally.

Sarah draws significant inspiration from her late father, a skilled carpenter and dedicated conservationist, as well as her architect brother, whose legacies serve as a guiding force in her work.
